Traffic is King - Content is Queen - get free content!
Traffic is king - content is Queen - get free content!Ok, the name of the game is to make money. The question is how? The answer is Traffic. But how do you get traffic? Good SEO, social marketing? How? Response: With good content!
Everyone is always talking about the next big "SEO" tip or how to use this "social Media" site to get traffic but they fail to mention [ more often than not ] that you need good content, not only to attract visitors and keep them [ short attention spans - 10 sec. max ]. But you also want to create a loyal fan base. People who will return again and again to visit your site, like it so much they will tell others and even post some of your content on their site [ creating a viral effect - which is good ].
So to make money you need traffic, to keep traffic you need content, so the only question that remains is: Where do I get content?
There are a lot of sources for content [ for your site ]. The problem is that most of them tend to direct your traffic away from your site. I don't know about you but I don't call that doing me any favors. Especially if you work hard or pay to get your traffic and visitors spend ten seconds on your site and are directed to leave. In my book that's a no - no. So you still ask - where to get good content?
Personally I use a news feed to get not only content - but updated and current content feed to my site. Oh, and did I mention it doesn't direct visitors away from your site - it keeps them there longer..... That is what you want! It's a free code and anyone can use it as long as you can "cut & Paste" on to your site. The only draw back is that you have to live with a small "mini Commercial" before the feed begins - even the free stuff in life have a price.
Here is the code:
<div id="cubeDiv" style="position:relative;"><span style="position:relative; z-index:2;"><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" id="swfclipf10" width="300" height="700"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /><param name="movie" value="http://www.thenewsroom.com/mash/swf/cube.swf?a=f10&m=50211&v=1" /><param name="base" value="."/><embed src="http://www.thenewsroom.com/mash/swf/cube.swf?a=f10&m=50211&v=1"base="." width="300" height="700" name="swfclipf10" allowScriptAccess="always" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"></embed></object></span><span id="voxAdf10" style="position:absolute;z-index:2;"></span></div>
How to use it effectively? Good question
What I do is first see what the current days news is - and I might write a funny or serious blog on the issues at hand. Since the news feed is a 300 X 700 box, it allows me to use the rest of my page to comment or advertise other products on the same page.
You can also just create a news feed for loyal visitors to get a quick catch up on the news they have missed. You can also provide adsense advertisement and other advertisements on the same page.
The great thing is you can get deferent kinds of news feeds for your site - some is all music news, or all celebrity news, or all business news. Follow link to see the types of feeds available: Get free content.
The great thing is that all you really need to do is hit the ( green mash ) button and and follow instructions to get code to place on your website.
